Local news of Malheur County prepared by award-winning journalists
At the Enterprise, we're always considering ways to improve our service the community.
You'll see one result of that starting on Sunday.
The Enterprise home page – our digital front page, as it were – gets a makeover. You will find it easier to spot stories of interest, key reports will be highlighted and the overall delivery will be better.
This comes after a hectic week of keeping on top of the flooding that hit Malheur County in recent days.
Day after day, we provided you updates so you knew what to expect – and what was happening. This goes from highway closures to the possible evacuation of parts of Vale. All along the way, we were determined to get you timely but accurate information.
The last thing you need at a time like this is speculation or just bad information.
The Malheur River is dropping and now the cleanup and assessment start. We're particularly focused on reporting on any damage to roads and highways and on how flooding of farmland will impact crops. If you have anything to share on those topics, send me an email: les@malheurenterprise.com.

Here's recent reporting for our team and other colleagues in Oregon.
